Nationally renowned family and children’s photographer Angela Carson is publishing a limited edition coffee table book of newborn baby portraits to benefit the Just for Kids Children's Foundation. Angela began this project because of her strong passion for children and her deep desire to give back to the community that has been so good to her for over twenty years.

Just for Kids is a Michigan-based charity supporting the patients and families being treated at Mott Children’s Hospital in Ann Arbor. The Just for Kids foundation is driven by a singular purpose; replace the pain with a smile, if only for a while. (Learn more at www.JustForKidsMichigan.org)

How Can I Help?

We need your help to make Angela’s creative and philanthropic project a reality.   Maybe you are expecting or you have friends that are expecting.  Ask your friends to ask their friends to help us find parents that are expecting a baby.  Together we can make a difference in the lives of children.



How Do I Participate?

Angela has committed to photograph two newborn babies per week throughout 2010. The babies must be photographed before they are 14 days old. If you are expecting this year, please apply to Participate. Because we can only include a limited number of babies in the book, we encourage you to contact us soon. If you are selected to take part in this project, you will need to come to our studio for a pre-portrait planning session and make a $100 donation to the Just for Kids children's foundation.

Angela and Rosa made us feel so comfortable having our one week old in the studio. They were very patient and relaxed so we felt the same way and Luca felt it too! The lights were dimmed and the room was warm so our baby was comfortable and just slept the whole time. I love the images that were captured that day, and I will never forget the feelings my husband and I had just looking at our sleeping angel in a vase! Babies are only that little for a second and I am so glad that we were able to capture his sweetness in these beautiful photos. Angela's studio is a very welcoming place and we are so glad she had the chance to photograph our baby.

As first time parents of a two-week old baby...it can be quite stressful to pack up and leave the house; however, with Angela and Rosa this was a breeze...the peaceful setting and their patience provided the ideal environment to capture those precious newborn moments. Angela provides all the conveniences of a home away from home...a warm room, changing table and comfortable furniture for mom and dad...it was obvious from the beginning that the passion and professionalism where amazing...especially when handling a newborn. Angela coaxed, swaddled, carried and shushed our little one in an effort to make the session the best it could be. We felt comfortable and at ease and never felt pressured to hurry-up... We are so thankful that we had Angela capture our first family photo - her passion and creativity are unparamount and the service is top-notch.. We truly had a wonderful experience and would recommend her to anyone.
